blackfolk for instance. It's a comm full of people that pretty much annoy the fuck out of each other, argue both ends of the so-called black experience without reaching the middle, and are generally politically ornery. (With mostly good reason, they're black folk, think about it.) But on the other hand, there's this community wide obsession with David Hasslehoff... yeah. Go figure. *shakes head*
Morning's been good so far, other than the thinking too much. Breakfast with Sunny at Brueggers, which was tasty but now I reek like red onions due to a bagel sandwich we were sharing. (real interesting combination with hazelnut coffee let me tell you. I smell like a sensitive new age bag of organic potato chips.
Need to subscribe to Entertainment Weekly, since I'm now picking it up just about weekly and while I can better afford a subscription than a weekly newstand price. I really do love that magazine, it's the only one I actually read these days. I mean, any rag that gets frikken' Alan Moore to talk to them about Watchmen has to be awesome, but I think the thing I always loved about them is the fact that they are unafraid to do a big hypy cover story on a movie and on the next page give the same movie a hideously bad review. Not to mention everyone who writes for it is wonderfully snarky. anyway, I need to go read the issue I just picked up...
