Okay, the next time any of you happen to be in Amherst, go to Baku's (the new African restaurant). Wow. It's been a very long while since I've had food that made me homesick for the African and Caribbean holes in the walls and roti shacks of Flatbush, but this did, and that is a very good thing. I mean, even the aftertaste is damn knee-melting, half an hour later. And they have good fried plantain! Which is so hard to get right it isn't funny. So yeah. Go. Now. And thank you to sydneycat for dragging me out. Very worth it!
