kjpepper: (shame shit different day)

I seem to remember someone posting something about Mercury being in retrograde. Again. Probably [livejournal.com profile] masteradept - he's usually the harbinger of bad astrological news. *smile* Mostly cause he actually keeps up with that sort of thing... and now that the moon is waning, I think folks are starting to feel it. *chuckle* I've taken too much astronomy to put any stock in the movement of the planets - but I do feel that Mercury being in retrograde has some effect on crap - if only for the reason that someone says "Beware, Mercury's in retrograde!" and then everyone subconsciously reacts to that and everyone goes fuckbazoink as a result. Which I guess makes me a rather strong believer in memetic implantation/suggestion/schmoo.

Yesterday was mostly good, got a lot done at work, and other than giving myself a minor coronary over the misplacement of my keys in the middle of the afternoon... *shakes head* After work I took Madame la [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat out for dinner at the rib joint formerly known as Mr. Cecil's for pulled dead thing sandwiches and sweet tea... mostly 'cause it was the last place in town with dinner seats. OMG the proliferation of yuppie tourists out for Bag Day. Jesus H and M Christ. After that we came home in time to watch the second half of Undercover Brother with the Amoeba (missed my favorite part though - the bit where Chris Cattan is dancing to Mary J. Blige while Billy Dee Williams stands there and by some miracle manages to keep a straight face - there must have been multiple takes), and then people drifted off towards their own locales leaving [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I home to spend some quality time with each other.

Woke up hacking again through last night, and finally this morning with an echo of Wednesday's migraine, which I'm keeping at bay with meds and water. Apparently my sinuses and throat still think I'm sick, but I'm not complaining too much since I can breathe through my nose again. Not really sure how to dispense with my day really, except preparing somewhat for my shrink appointment tomorrow... A rather tough decision awaits me, one I've tentatively decided to go for, but subconsciously I'm dragging my heels on it... that's pretty much all I can say in a public post. Some cleaning and a little furniture rearranging is also in order, as [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I have decided that the time to demote [livejournal.com profile] sundart's bed to a living room couch has not only come, but is overdue, as it's having a detrimental effect on everyone's backs/sleep. I think also the time has come to Freecycle my VCR.

Thought for today: growing up blows.

Hey, I didn't say it was a revolutionary or revalatory or even an especially deep thought. Just a thought.

Time to go do something useful.
