Jan. 6th, 2006 07:40 amSo I ended up staying up, though I haven't actually gotten up yet. Laptops with wireless are so much fun. Though I suppose I should soon, as my bladder is displeased with me about it's current full state.
It's finally lightening up outside, though I'm disappointed that it's all overcast out there, so much for watching the sun rise, you know? Especially since my view of the hills east of us is rather pretty. I'll be glad when they finally take the Christmas lights off the trees outside though - I kinda miss being able to see stars out my window.
Today should be pretty awesome - after work anyway. :P Even that should be okay, as I have interesting stuff to do. But after work I have a wee bit of shopping to do, then later on in the evening there will be Diner trip with the Amoeba, and rumor has it that such fun folk as
inle_rah,
htl_1126 and
drklord1922 will also be showing up. And then tonight is the Rewind. I haven't seen PeeWee's Big Adventure in its entirity, and no part of it since I was bitsy, so should be fun. I'll be dead tired by the end of it, probably, as by the time it's over I will have been up for, lessee, 20 hours straight. but as it's mostly about seeing folk tonight and less about the actual movie, I think that will be fine.
I'm coming to the conclusion that the universe not only wants me never to eat onion ever again, but really anything sugary. I'm on a massively anti-sweet jag right now - soda, ice cream and chocolate have all been tasting horrendous, leaving icky aftertastes, or just plain disagreeing with me. Which basically leaves me down to hot dogs as comfort food. :P I'm sure it's a temporary thing, but since sugar is pretty bad for you anyway, I can't say I exactly mind. It's just when I forget and eat something like a couple of Hershey Kisses... gah.
Not much else is going on... I had to throw out my over the ear buds this week because between songs one of the speakers crackled in a weird way, and when I say that, I mean it felt like I'd shuffled across a shag carpet and then nuzzled a doorknob with my ear canal. Earphones shouldn't shock you. Eeep. So I'm back to actual headphones, though these are smaller than I'd like - I like the big poofy studio headphones that shut out everything else going on so that when loud obnoxious people get on the bus (like "Ma") and insist on yelling a conversation to people sitting in the front, I don't get a headache. Cause really, I'd rather have KMFDM give me one, thanks. Still need to sit down with Eclipse and muck about with her libraries, though it's been an interesting bit of retrospection seeing what I was listening to a year ago. Haven't heard "Total Eclipse of the Heart" yet, which is probably good, as goodness knows maybe this time a brick'll hit me or something.
City Hall clock is 20 minutes fast. It just tolled 8. :P
*sigh* All right already, time to go pee and have breakfast.
