kjpepperUsually my job calls for me to stick with a fairly boring roster of maybe 6 different typefaces to use when designing web pages. Which is fine, whatever, though one does get tired of looking at Verdana day in and day out. But every so often I get a client that wants something different, and at that point it is time for me to play the game of "Exactly which fonts are on this machine anyway?" Which is fun when you have over 1000 (1234 to be exact.)
Anyways, I was browsing through all of them this morning in Character Map and ran across one called Alba... don't know how, why or when this one got on my computer. It's a pretty standard retroish typeface that looks like VH1 could use it in their current pseudo disco 70s branding, but the fun thing about it was that someone had included cartoon renderings of Jessica Alba's face with different expressions in the blank characters, plus little tags that proclaim in the same loopy letters "Jessica Alba is beautiful." Hence the name of the font.
People on the internet have WAY too much free time to devote to their fandoms. Yes, that includes the folk on my flist. :) You people are nuts.
