somewhat at loose ends today, as I have the day off, but no one else in the amoeba does. bleh. Spent the morning and a bit of last night doing a bit of reading about the possibly whys of our radiators being always dead cold despite a roasting steampipe - have some ideas as to why, but need a couple of blocks of wood and an actual pipe wrench to actually fix them (in the meantime using a volume of erotica that I actually detested as a shim). In the meantime the kitchen is now roasting, and considering at the beginning of the season it was a turkish bath house up in here I think I'm going to try my luck at the living room radiator and leave mine alone for the time being.

In other handy news, I managed to sit down with a pair of needlenose pliers and have a gentle talking to with

morlock's Valentine present, so now I can finally wear it. Course, it's also now never going to come off that chain without another gentle talking to, but that's a bonus.

Went to meet

sydneycat for lunch at one of the Amherst dining halls. Boy. I can see what Caroline Rhea means about scrumptious impossibly young bits of tender veal meat. *chuckle* If only they were on rollerblades, ha ha. I'm getting to be such a dirty old lady. I'm totally going to wind up being Stifler's Mom when I grow up... except with natural lips and tits. :)

Well, I'm going to force myself into doing something productive, even if it's just taming the rat's nest atop my head. Damn you, winter, and your moisture stripping temperatures, bah.
