zadnyl's birthday was busy. We drove up to Ithaca for the grand tour of the back sprawl of Cornell (aaaaaaaaaagh, nature! Hiking... though okay the waterfall and the salamanders were cool, but I really should have had more breakfast and some bike shorts under my skirt and shoes with actual treads before it) We ended it with a bit of ice cream at the Cornell dairy bar (I cheated and had a bit - my it was tasty).
We came home for actual lunch, and I spent a little time nonconsensually performing horrors uponzadnyl's boyfriend six ways from sunday in Tetris DS (I've gotten rather good at that apparently, plus I'm mean with the items - comes of playing with morlock), then went to Time Out at the local mall to play video games, where anzovin has discovered that he likes 1st person shooters, and I discovered that zadnyl's boy is one of those frightening people that's actually good at DDR. Heh. The rest of the family played stuff at the ticket machines and then gave it all to the birthday girl, who ended up with about 650 tickets for prizes. Then Chili's for dinner (C's mom under the influence of margarita is a funny funny thing), and then home for zadnyl's cupcakes iced with (fake) cream cheeze icing.
So right now, believe it or not I'm still working on digesting dinner and we're discussing what time we're all leaving. Meh... I really am kinda sorry we only come out here once a year, the Zakrzewski's is so much fun, not to mention it really is a rare thing to find folks that can have their daughter, her girl and her boy over and not only not blink but pretty much assimilate them into the clan. A true blessing indeed.
I need to go get some semblance of breakfast now.
