• Leyla Jouvana, "Queen of the Shimmys", and her husband/accompanist/drummer Roland are gonna be in town this weekend holding workshops and performances. Alas, I will not be around because I am going to
  
  
• SIGGRAPH. A week long orgy of computer graphics overload. I've wanted to go for years, and next week I get to go as one of the anzovin Studio Booth Babes.
  
  
• And then there's Pi-Con, where it's just been announced that I may get my chance to kneel abeyante in front of Jacqueline Carey and declare her queen of my universe. Or ok, maybe just sign my copies of the Kushiel series.
  

Now all I have to do is break the lottery and I'd be all set. :P
