I totally got a big fat kiss goodbye from
athene just now. Seeing as that totally just made my morning, it was definitely worth cancelling my gyn appointment for. :) *gigglesquee* Okay, I had other reasons to cancel the gyn app (not least of which just a plain stubborn not wanting to go), but now I'm really glad I did.
Good luck in Texas
athene and
lordaerith! You'll be missed.
In other news, holy crap, remind me never to do two sessions of belly dance in one night ever again. My thighs HURT. And I'm never going to be coordinated enough to dance with zils. Oy. That and I'm going to have to figure out some way of compensating for the fact that my butt sticks out quite a bit in the back so I stop catching veils on it. (The trials and tribulations of being a rather full-to-overflowing-figured dancer... ) I picked up a CD of Leyla Jouvana and Roland drum music to listen/practice to until the next class sessions start up at the end of September. After class I was chatting with Joanne a bit about radio bastet and other stuff, and she was telling me about how she was going on vacation with her son and her grandkids... grandkids. Jesus. Lord, tell me I'll look that good dancing when I'm old enough to have grandkids. :)
After I came home I was kinda low again, despite some very nice quality time hanging out with
sundart and
morlock (it's still somewhat of a rare thing to get hangouts with just the two of them) so
morlock suggested i shower up and I go to the Moan and Dove with him and
lysscat, which turned out to be fun and got me fuzzy enough to quite freaking the hell out for the first time all week. After which
morlock took me to the diner for some post-beering food. Note to self - next time food before beer. My stomach was not happy with me about doing things in the wrong order. Still, the evening was good, and I do enjoy sitting around and shooting deep serious important life shit with
morlock every so often, especially since if I talk about what's snarled up in my head sometimes it comes unsnarled. I think part of been what's stressing me out lately is that I'm definitely in this transitional phase - getting married (for all intents and porpoises) in November, and the Amoeba is starting up talks towards what sort of collective household we want to find/purchase/live happily ever after in. There a definite feeling of impending chapter closing, and it's been stressing me out a bit around the edges. But at least I now know part of the problem.
(and knowing's half the battle, right? sorry couldn't resist.)
athene kissed me!
Edit: before anyone else asks, no. :) But it was fun anyway. So there.
Good luck in Texas
