I woke up this morning to the sound of the first Peter Pan bus from Amherst idling noisily in front of the building next door, rolled out of bed, went home (no this wasn't my bed) got dressed and got on the bus in less than 20 minutes. o_O I never move that fast in the morning. So weird. Must have gotten enough R&R yesterday.

LOST... I swear took a hard right from interesting to shitty somewhere over the summer while we were all catching up. Like at this point, I'm all for Ben feeding Jack to the polar bear and poisoning Kate and Sawyer's fish biscuits and then taking off in Henry Gale's balloon to have magical flying adventures under the ocean. Enough with the prolonged agony people. Let's get back to the show and the characters we actually care about? huh? Pleeeeeeeease? Sayid? Locke? Eko? Is that kid really Jin's? What's up with Desmond? Hell, I would find an episode of crazy French chick riding a polar bear around the golf course in circles more interesting than what's currently happening. But that's because Mira Furlan is... well. She could get away with doing something that silly and make it look dignified.

Seriously, you know what would have worked better? Air the episode with sun and Sayid and Jin first, then the one with Locke second, then have the next few be our favorite losties trying to figure out what's going on, and then have the episodes they just aired start the second part of the season. Cause then... we might actually give a shit what's happening with KSJ and the Others. Or not. Grrrr. C'mon, JJ, don't fuck this up the same way you did Alias. And no more bunnies. That's not ok.

Well, it looks like next week should be better, as the flashbacks will be Eko's. But the next? Kate's. I may well skip it.

Enough already. Jeez. One of the things that initially drew me into this show was that it seemed to assume that it's audience was full of thinking, intelligent adults. It's devolved into Lost for Dummies. Blech.

Oh, also, apparently none of the remaining losties have any interest in figuring out what's going on. They're just like, hmmm, a bunch of people have gone missing, shit blew up, the sky turned purple, what's for dinner?

And, there's only 2 more episodes, and then are apparently taking a 13 WEEK hiatus. Seriously. WTF. There is no excuse for that.

Well that part actually sorta makes sense. Even though Jack's a big ass dumbass, he's the only authority figure the islanders really had. Anyone else strong enough to step into the role is currently absent - Locke's having another Island communication issue and I'm guessing he's still tending to Mr. Eko, who also can't lead because he was mauled by polar bear (not Paulo, as I originally typed for some reason). Sayid's stranded on the other side of the island with our favorite Koreans. Sawyer (he's a jackass as well, but capable) is eatin' fish biscuits and embroiled in dumb side plot. Ana Lucia is dead. So it makes sense that everyone who's left is hunkering down and making dinner. Course, they should be a bit more nervous about it, but the inertia, at least is explainable.

13 week hiatus equals WTF. But if it keeps sucking in this vein, I'm not going to mind. Wednesday night's supposed to be Warcrack night anyways.

what they said on the podcasts that at lot of people were upset in previous seasons when they weren't sure if it would be a new ep of Lost or not. So for this season they're doing a six weeks mini-series and then a break and then all the rest of the eps for the season. So, bascially once it starts back up again in 2007, it's running straight through to the end w/out a break. Which is pretty cool...if only it didn't suck quite as much right now.
