Covenant + Bellnoire = ooohhh yeah
Sep. 25th, 2003 07:31 pmAll I have to say is that pelting down the Northampton Bike trail at top speed with We Stand Alone pumping into my ears is a big big big rush. Booh yeah. All I need are some little black biker shorts with ankhs on them. ;) Think there's a market for gothic sportswear?
See the bat, fear the bat, feel the burn . . .
Need a set of headphones for biking light enough to not make my ears sweat that has on-cord volume control so I can turn the damn things down all the way when I'm in the street as opposed to on the trail and actually need my ears. Right now the current solution of ripping my big chunky studio headphones off my head as soon as I turn off the trail and hanging them around my neck isn't working for me. Oh, and these have to have excellent sound. Suggestions?
One of two significant events of the day -
gossamer_gull called me at the office this morning to announce she was coming out to Northampton to pick up some finished pottery at Claytopia, and was wondering if I wanted to do lunch. Oooh a lunch date! She got into town, collected the me, and we went out to Fitzwilly's to explore the yummy lunch options which I never get to do as I'm usually there for dinner. "Naw, kitty this is MY chicken pot pah!!" Very yummy, and going out for any sort of meal with g.g. is fun. Especially when you top it with this chocolate . . . concoction that must have involved cake and ice cream, but ooooh all together? *drool* Made up for the fabulous lunch topic of colonoscopies. :) Which I started.
I decided to take the uberlong way home this afternoon. The regular way home is just heading up main/elm street from work, but if I can and I feel like it, I go all the way down King street to Stop and Poop, pick up the bike trail, and take it up to Cooley Dick so I have a nice long downhill coast. This afternoon, during a slightly drizzly sunset, I took the trail from end to end, stopped at Look Park to guzzle some water, and back down the path, got off at Cooley Dick, and downhill all the way home. I'm sure I got a couple of weird looks on Rt. 9, considering Kathy's Song was playing and I was singing "You know I'm not a SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINT!" at the top of my lungs all the way down the hill . . . Wow. I haven't that exhilerated in a while. Should do that more often. At least before I'm leaving work at 4 and it's already dark, which it will be by the end of next month. Friggin' Daylight Savings Time.
It seems like the far flung plague affecting me and mine is lifting. I'm noting improvements from
beatgoddess,
birkwelch, and myself, no change for
sundart and
harinezumi seems to be worsening a bit. Big fucking get well vibes for everyone.
