Happy 2007!!!
Jan. 1st, 2007 01:08 amThe ball has dropped, loved ones have been kissed, presents have been recieved (I feel very 14 years old in my brandy new black watch LL Bean flannel; there was more too), and stomachache has been gotten from eating too many bon bons. Curse you, Edys, ow. Tomorrow, or later today as the case may be there will be kitchen craziness, family to call, and a Bosslady to check on. More hanging out and sprawling with my five person tribe. As it should be. And on Tuesday, it's back to life, back to reality, as always. :)
The past year has had its ups and downs its joys and sorrows, and really when you think about it, it was very much like any other year. But some noteable events were taking
morlock to NY, The Lawsuit back home (y'alls know what I'm talking about), starting belly dance, dropping 50 pounds without warning and subsequently being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, Bosslady's cancer coming out of remission, the Great Flat Switch, heading back to UNIS for my 10 year, celebrating Experiment 626 (aka my second year with
morlock), various breakdowns and rebuilds in communication with the family, starting up at Cinemark again, Beavis going to the great scrap yard in the sky, wandering the wonderful world of Azeroth with the Order of Anami, turning 28, GETTING MARRIED HOLY CRAP after 10 years with my best girlie, and weathering a strangely warm, yet oddly pleasant holiday season. Projects are still undone (note to self - take pictures and play with legos more, and maybe put your wedding pics up finally?) but what else is new, right? Life is a project that is never done!
I look forward to a new year actually. I don't really have resolutions, cause I hate them things, but I do have some things I'd like to accomplish. Take more pictures, as I sad above. Play with legos more. See more movies!!! So many ones I've missed this year, and I WORK IN A MOVIE THEATER!!! Inexcusable. Get my friggin license once and for all. Get my health, head and finances in order for the Very Big Project I have tentatively slotted in for 2008. (You may speculate, but I will neither confirm nor deny.) Work on getting more spiritual stuff into my life (and I know right where Jesus is thank you, so don't even think about asking). Marvel anew at the continual weirdness of cats. Talk to the Brownes more. The list really does go on and on, so I won't bore you with it. But It's going to be a very challenging year, and already I can see a couple of tough ones on the horizon for me and the amoeba, but we are strong and we love each other so it will all work out. Yes. *fierce nod*
And best of all I did my laundry. So I sally forth into this new year with CLEAN UNDERWEAR. Hoo-ra.

Date: 2007-01-05 08:46 pm (UTC)Anyhoo, just thought I'd let you know that I'd like to add you to my friends. You seem like a pretty cool person, and we have some things in common: belly dancing, WoW, legos (I need to play with them more, too), same age.
Just let me know if I've creeped you out too much and I won't bother you ever again.
Later!
~Shannon
