Conversations and Connections

I had some great conversations today... with RBM in the car on the way to the UMass class session we sat in on... with the elderly gentleman I wrote about a few weeks ago that I'm slowly teaching about computer usage and the Internet and who has made quite a lot of progress in the four weeks he's met with me, and now as I write this the Amoeba is gathered in QT11 with a friend watching the boyos play Marvel Ultimate Alliance and chatting, continuing in conversational veins we started hours ago over sundart's chili for dinner. It makes me happy having constantly been in one conversation or another today when I thought it would be a struggle to stay awake after a bad night of two hours sleep.

It is nights like tonight where I can spend the evening terrorizing anzovin with obscene slang for acts he's never even imagined, let alone heard of, or sharing stories of Smith dining horrors (ding ding!) with people that have not experienced that particular form of institutional insanity, or having my own head exploded by sydneycat showing me more evidence that the world is a terrifying place by way of the Internet that make me ultimately grateful for this little group of people sharing my life, no matter how crazy any one of them can drive me sometimes.

I thought it would be a struggle to stay awake after a bad night of two hours sleep.

Did everyone sleep badly last night? I did, Rachel did, my friend Chris (Vulpine) did...and though George didn't specifically mention having slept poorly, he was utterly exhausted this evening. I think Morpheus is in retrograde.
