I had a dream that I had to explain the plot and mechanics of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego (the game show, not the cartoon) to someone who had never watched the show growing up (except in the dream I was explaining it to morlock, and I'm 95% sure he's seen it.)

I miss that show... And Lynne Thigpen is still the bomb, even if she's no longer with us.

I still have my cassette copy of the soundtrack somewhere.... And yeah, it's gotta be Lynne and Greg and Rockapella. Accept no substitutes whatsoever.

She was the Chief in both versions of the game show, receiving 4 Emmy nominations for the role.



She died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 2003.

I still sing that in the shower (along with "Yakko's World"--I apparently like geography in the shower). And I have several Rockapella albums. And that show was awesome.
