I was right, by the way. The bike path, though a little treacherous with slippery leaves, is friggin gorgeous this week. Yay.

gossamer_gull and I were talking about mileage yesterday when she came over to drop off sunny-d's birthday presents. She pointed out that I could bike to Rivendell, like she's walking there. I wondered aloud where I would whizz past her, and she quipped "eh, probably fending off some Ringwraiths."

I said something to the effect of. "Oh... well, I'd wave..."

I'm an ass. :)
