No one besides maybe timarok is going to get that subject line, unless there are other former Arstechnica junkies out there.
So I'm home today, as I left early from work with another instance of ZOMG digestive tract hates me. As far as I can tell, the system got backed up severely this weekend, causing pain and discomfort and all sorts of crap. Or not crap as the case may be. ibuprofen, a heating pad and continuously downing hot liquids last night seems to have helped, but I'm going to be safe and take it easy today and probably give at least Dr. Chmura a call. Need to find out my bloodwork results anyway. Gods, I hate being sick, or at least sick with something that doesn't involve my head. It's really hard to acknowledge that you really are sick if you're head is clear and you can think straight. Which is mostly the case unless my back is siezing up at the time. Ow. Course I'm like my mom in the respect that I never feel like going to the doctor even when I probably need to. Unlike my dad who goes to one doctor or another like once a week because he actually lucked out on the whole veterans insurance thing. But yeah... actually calling about what's going on with me is a big step. :P
Despite the ow and the heating pads and the continuous drinking and the wondering why the gods hate me, I had a reasonably good evening, as we had a surprise visit from a certain blue fox and his girlie-dono. Alas, most of us were too sick, tired or lame to go out with him but we had a pleasant evening nonetheless sitting around watching America's Got Talent, The Singing Bee, and Law & Order SVU. While I'm annoyed that they picked the insipid little blonde singer over the Glamazons for the final, three acts I do like a whole lot made it to the final so I'm not complaining too much: Terry Fator, Cas Haley and Butterscotch. All three are worth looking up on YouTube, especially Terry Fator, who just may be the best ventriloquist I've ever seen.
gotta go have breakfast now. I hope I feel better today.
