LOL. her hair does tend to go hot mess when it comes down, it's true! That doll has more hair than most three year olds I know! This one came to me with three inches of frizz at the bottom that I thought I was going to have to cut off - a condition and some work with a warm curling iron fixed it very well however. Her hair isn't supposed to curl like that either, I spent about two hours on it with the iron.
Well if Miss Clara down on the corner can do it with Cousin Tamika's weave... ya know? ;) j/k I don't have a cousin Tamika.
I figured out the trick while I was doing it, actually - work in really small sections and soak the section with a spray bottle of water before you even get near it with the iron. It also helped that I have one of those Conair irons with the fifteen heat settings - I used to use 7 or 8 for my own hair, and I only used 1 for Aeris... that was plenty hot enough!
I'm probably going to have to do this again if I ever manage to dig my kiri, molly, lissie and sam out of the bowels of my parents house. I got them when I was nine and I brushed them a lot so I'm sure their hair is frightful. That is if I don't give up and rewig them on the spot.
