I'm still all tired and fucked up from the outing on Saturday, and my back is sore in seventeen different places. I must have slept funny. Or maybe my futon is settling finally or something. I have been noticing that I feel like I'm tipped downwards towards the middle during the night... hmm.

The end of yesterday was good. I hauled out the Aerobed, found the leak, and patched it, then the family gathered to listen to Britgirl read us eroticat. Somehow the phrase "The cock that made me ploughs my ass" just takes on all sorts of new and exciting nuances when read in her proper little accent.

[livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams came over and everyone ordered a massive amount of chinese/Japanese cuisine, including about seven different kinds of maki because Britgirl and [livejournal.com profile] sundart and [livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams were all feeling experimental. Speaking of which, yet another Asian restaurant is opening in Northampton, about a block away from the rest of them. Apparently Teapot is opening a bastard little brother named Tofu. But there isn't much of an indication of what kind of Asian food they will be serving as their sign for now simply says "Asian Restaurant." I swear, this town has a disease called Asian Food Rash or something. I mean, really how much of a selection of Asian food does a town full of affluent white lesbians and old guard ex-military geezers really need? But I digress. While we were waiting for the food to arrive and for [livejournal.com profile] beatgoddess to bring home the "punch and pie" everyone except me went for a rousing game of Freeloader, and I tended quietly to the massive amounts of laundry I was pushing from washer to dryer and thinking . . . And then [livejournal.com profile] beatgoddess came home and it was time to select the dinnertime and beyond entertainment. We wound up watching Hedwig and the Angry Inch because Britgirl and [livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams had never seen it. I love that movie, it had such great music and I love the makeup jobs on John Cameron Mitchell and on Miriam Shor, and I like the story of self discovery that happens in the movie, just the continual realization that this character is drastically different from everyone around him and his gradual acceptance of himself as a beautiful, whole being. Much to my surprise (though I couldn't tell you why exactly I was surprised) [livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams really liked the movie!

Afterwards, we watched ourselves some Resident Evil, which was a gory zombie-filled romp that reminded [livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams and I of plot elements in our last roleplaying campaign (massive, all powerful corperations, zombies, zombie dogs . . .) I was expecting to hate it, but it turned out to be a fun fluffy bloodfest of a horror movie. And I will watch Milla Jovavitch in just about any movie, as she is beautiful in a seriously funny-looking way, and I appreciate that.

We had missed about half of Samurai Jack by the time th second movie ended, but we watched the end - seemed to be a spoof on a seventies jewelry heist show or movie. I think they were giving nods to Lupin III, as the thief looked very similar to Jigen except with red hair! After that we tried to watch .hack//sign, but it appeared to be one of those notorious recap episodes that anime series employ becuase there is such a lapse of time between seasons. Don't know why they don't just drop them in American runs . . .

I'm going in to work later today, after I finish up my laundry. It's a little hard to venture out of the house when all of your pants are dirty . . .

Probably going to Foster Ferrar's Hardware today and purchasing some kind of latch for our bedroom door in addition to some more personal hardware. There is only so many times we can put up with being awakened at 4am by an overenthusiastic boy cat that is perpetually up for a game of bedmice, even when the other participant is asleep. grr.

been going to bed obscenely early lately. [livejournal.com profile] sundart is a bad influence.

Dinner was yummy last night. There was salmon and veggies to be had, and for our dinnertime entertainment there was Russ Meyer's Beneath the Valley of the UltraVixens. If The Opening of Misty Beethoven is the funniest and most well scripted porn movie ever, Ultravixens has got to be the weirdest and most ridiculous, though it does make me wish there were more radio evangelists like Eufaula Roop out there, simply because it would make religious radio that much more interesting. I think what is amusing about that movie is that yep, there is much explicit sex in it, but it is purely presented in a comedic fashion more than a titillating one. I enjoyed seeing it again and laughing my ass off. Pity Russ Meyer never did get around to making Jaws of Vixen. All hail Roger Ebert's phase moonlighting in writing ultraweird x-rated movies.

Made the mistake of ordering a Monte Christo from Fitzwilly's yesterday for lunch. Still paying for it. Ugh. Here's hoping today is better.
