Ah. And now we are at the every-single-part-of-my-body-aches-ow and jeezus-did-that-much-phlegm-really-just-come-out-of-my-nose?? stage of the game. Joy.

You know, I actually prefer this stage to the sore throat and clear liquid dripping from nose stage, Especially since the sore throat was a bitch for the past 48 hours. Thank you, I enjoy swallowing. (Shut up.) And clear liquid is irritating because you can't effectively blow it out of your nose. It just kinda... drips. ew. At least now when I blow my nose I feel like I've actually accomplished something.

The good news is that I've taken so much ibuprofen and garlic pills that the side effect is that my ears, while still sore, aren't swollen anymore. And there was much rejoicing *disinterested "yay."*

I'm going to work today. Not because I feel any better, mind, but because it's going to be even HOTTER today and I will be hiding in my nice, air conditioned office. Considering I missed yesterday, I may just stay there all day and hide from the heat.

Of course, this being New England, the temperature supposed to be about 30 degrees lower tomorrow. *shakes head*

your place or mine? whittling Eurasia. - oh, definitely my place. Nothing like gathering friends to carefully shape likenesses of freakishly large landmasses out of wood with small knives.

pay less for Windows 95 - er... is it just me or is this piece of spam about ten years too late?

its not my problem, get over it hedgehog - How dare you refer to me as a cute spiny mammal! All complaints addressed to "hedgehog" shall be forwarded to [livejournal.com profile] harinezumi forthwith.

backgammon fetish videos - Hot horny girls want to beaver you. Roll your dice and place them on your bars... or move your fat checker onto their open points. Call now!

Re: gurkha parsley - This so sounds like species of vegetation in cheezy science fiction novels. They all have names that soud suspiciously as if they were pulled from the Mystical Ass.

davy magenta angelo - There's a name to get through kindergarten with. Hi, I'm part Jewish, part Italian, part Rocky Horror.

salad dressing 396 debutantes - being as they're debutantes, we have to be tallking about either Ranch or Bleu Cheese...

Unleash your Cable! - Yes, do. I used to keep my cable on a very short leash... before someone reported me to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Cable.

super sized girls here! - Okay, no. Any invitation to come look at your pervy web site should not immediately bring up the desire to ask whether you get fries and a Coke with your subscription.

Re: Kazaa is our bitch - LOL. I think this one needs no comment.

1dollar_orgazms - This only sounds cheap if you forget that orgasms can usually be had for free.

hiding from freakish heat at work worked out quite well. Had a fairly good, productive, low key day. The sudden appearance of speakers on my desk (never underestimate the sneakiness of [livejournal.com profile] rukasboy) filled me with joy, and the glee inherent in hooking up my iThing to them and being able to groove in my HTML, Photoshop and Perl badness to my music more than made up for the fact that I was sneezing, coughing and blowing my nose every ten seconds or so, didn't quite make up for the MASSIVE headache with which I was and still am contending, but Bosslady ordered sushi for the web dev meeting, and that just about made up for everything. Still, the headache sucks. It's not dehydration; I've been sucking down water like a camel at an oasis. Could be caffiene withdrawal - haven't really had any coffee since Monday due to the whole sick thing. Anyway, considering I still felt like utter crap, the day was good and I stayed there until 4.

Currently sitting with a box fan (container fan, [livejournal.com profile] timarok?) three feet away from me, and am fairly comfortable right now. There's also a breeze coming in from outside. Methinks the temperature has already started dropping - I shoud be far more sweaty and miserable than I am. Now all I have to do is not move until it cools off. :)
