Uy! That is not an exclamation it's a name. It's been bothering me the entire trip back.
By the grace of several serendipitous events, I am home, safe and sound and SANE! tonight. Today was by turns crazy, rushed, more crazy, downright surreal, happy, some more surreal and well yeah, all the sort of things that can be associated with a reunion, which was charmingly devoid of anything remotely Grosse Pointe Blankian (though the appropriate scene did cross my mind as I wandered the fourth floor of the building to "cruise by my old locker" as it were - luckily no French assassins interested in ballroom dancing, native American art and pornography leaped from the hallway to pummel me with kickboxing, thereby necessitating murder by pen.)
Anyway, reunion was. Yes. That is a good sentence. ( blah blah blah, "leave your livestock alone" )
I'm glad I decided to go today, and I'm doubly glad that I decided to take the camera with me. Getting the pics online will be my big project for the weekend - that and stuffing myself at Taste of Amherst. :) Right now I should really crash, but I'm not sleepy yet, so maybe I'll watch some Taxi until I am. But before that, a quote from the always wonderfully random
jaicat, via voice mail:
"Give me a call, and we'll chew the beef... or the fat... or whatever it is people are chewing. What are the kids chewing these days? Isn't that a good question..."
