It's been far too long since I've had a quiet day to myself... I spent yesterday rotting my brain with Facebook Pirates and WoW and plan to do much the same today. Life is good at the moment. Also [livejournal.com profile] anzovin had a gift certificate to Zen so last night he took [livejournal.com profile] sundart, [livejournal.com profile] lostcircuit and I out for hideously expensive Asian fusion food. Really really good, hideously expensive Asian fusion food, mind you, but I really have this internal horror of spending three digits at a restaurant (for a party under six) unless I'm with Dad or something.

I reread the internal family systems therapy book last night. Interesting stuff. It's a guidebook for therapists, so it does get jargon heavy at times but the concepts and examples are definite food for thought, especially as I didn't realize that the IFS model could be extended to external families as well (though it makes a ton of sense.) Definitely going to be chewing that one over for a while.

Well, folks, as I have nothing really planned for today, I've officially declared today Pee-in-a-Hat day. And yes, it does sound more like I'm swiping bowlers off of English ministers and running into the bushes with them, cackling madly. I feel like "Pee-in-a-Hat" needs a little song, in the grand tradition of Wesley Willis and the Penis Truck song. But for now I'll just settle for singing "Pee-in-a-Hat" to the tune of "Pee at Home".

EDIT: It's actually called Marco Polo...

Someone (actually, [livejournal.com profile] ediesjournal) randomly found my page of Page of Strange Haiku and posted a review.

Ok, that's officially the coolest thing that's happened all day. Other than peeing in a hat.

If you were for some reason granted access to the Dreaming's library, what would you look for?

(For those of you who haven't read The Sandman comics imagine a library where you could find every story or book ever concieved of, but not necessarily ever written.)

I think my first order of business would be to find the sequels to Octavia Butler's Fledgling, cause it's pretty clear she was planning at least one. Maybe just for shits and giggles find the sixty gazillion books that would constitute the Babysitters' Club's high school and college years (considering it took like, what, 150 just to get them through the eighth grade?). There would probably be a whole shelf of varying versions of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (which incidentally I still need to actually read) ranging from crap to fantastic... I'd find a stack of all of my favorite books translated stunningly to graphic novel format simply so I can bring them home and share them with [livejournal.com profile] morlock. And to round it up, I'd find the collected works of DJ Wolfgang, because I totally think Mozart would totally blow Paul Oakenfold out of the water if you introduced him to a sequencer. Yeah, I know, that's not a book, but no one said Dream's library didn't have music too.
