In far less terrifying news (and thank you cell23 for that... stunning... visual), I just discovered one extremely dedicated user on YouTube that has painstakingly uploaded all of the MGM Tom and Jerry shorts. That and Cartoon Network On Demand has been slowly working through them all in chronological order. This makes me inordinately happy... I now know what I will be doing during my morning coffee for the foreeable future. :D

I'm both happy and a little bit O_o that the youTube copies are... well, they're still somewhat censored, but a lot less than I remember. Like I grew up with the versions of the cartoons circa about 1975 where they rotoscoped out the fat Mammy character and replaced her with a skinny redubbed white woman and cut out all of the blackface gags. While Mammy back in there now, CN still dubbed her over to make her sound less "stereotypical". *rolleyes* come on, guys, really.
